Over the years I always looked over the little things in life. I never noticed the little things could bring me so much joy. What we notice as little things are some people work their butt off to make this possible. Like as you drive around your neighborhood and see all the pretty lights. I never took the time in active using to actively pay attention to these things or anything else. I was always consumed by my drug of choice at the time. Which is a horrible way to live life. Cause most of the time you just want to die and be done hurting the people you love the most.
We have never seen the beauty of nature in active use. Like when the leaves grow in the spring. To when they change in the fall to beautiful colors. Then when winter comes and covers them in snow. These are some of nature's little things that we don't take the time to notice in active use. I know I never did.
Some people just want us for our time and nothing more. My daughter loves to just cuddle up and watch movies. Which I truly love to do. It doesn't cost any money to make this happen, but it is just a little bit of my time. Those are the memories that I want to keep growing in my life. I'm so thankful for the little things in my life today.
The good Lord knows how grateful I am for the life he has given me. I owe thanks to my higher power for allowing me to recognize these things in my life. I feel so blessed today. I'm sure by now if I had kept using, I would have been in prison or died. I was going down the road of darkness with the devil. The devil never wants you to notice the little things. Cause if we did, we wouldn't be in his trap of darkness and isolation. When I turned to my higher power, he gave me the light to be able to see things again.
