"Hi honey, how was your day?"
"Terrible. This deuscher pulled out in front of me on my way in, then Karl was on me right away about the TPC reports."
Correction: A total of three and a half minutes, in this scenario, were less than delightful, not the past nine hours. The tiny, unpleasant events of our day aren't required to be exponential. You don't carry the one. It's your choice to wave the guy through who stopped at the four-way before you. You aren't a martyr for taking on this invisible load of heroics. Recognizing you should get out of your own way first and foremost, before directing traffic, makes for assumption free living. And it's less stressful than carrying those burdens all the way home.
"How was your day honey?"
"Fine, just fine."
