Join 217 Recovery and Kiersten’s Ride for a two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training workshop in Traverse City, Michigan.
ASIST is an in-person suicide first-aid workshop designed to help participants recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide, provide a skilled intervention, develop a safety plan, and connect that person with further support.

What You Will Learn
During this two-day workshop, participants will learn how to:

Recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide

Have a direct and supportive conversation about suicide

Provide a skilled suicide intervention

Work with someone to develop a safety plan

Connect a person with appropriate ongoing support
-
Build confidence and capacity to provide suicide first aid
The workshop includes audiovisual learning, guided discussion, and realistic simulations led by two knowledgeable and supportive trainers.
Registration
Registration is required by September 14, 2026.
The registration cost is a $50 deposit plus processing fees. Participants who complete both full days will receive a $40 refund, minus the processing fee.
Training materials are provided by Kiersten’s Ride. Meals are provided by 217 Recovery.
Possible continuing education opportunities include MCBAP, SCECHs, MIPEERS, and Social Work. Please verify current availability while registering.
