Thank you for being patient with me, I’ve been in the hospital with quite a serious m, injury I guess we’ll call it? Nothing fun of course, no cool story that goes along with; quite “vanilla” if I’m being honest. I kicked my foot on a metal bed frame at my mom‘s over the holidays, and yeah, it hurt! My wife is a nurse so right away I was like “babe, I think it’s broken!” So I may be slightly dramatic at times, (or very and often!) so Jamie (my wife) said, “it’s just soft tissue damage“. A couple days later it was quite a bit more swollen, red, and hot to the touch. We agreed I go to the er and get antibiotic, ok did that. Two days after that? Well, you see the picture that accompanies this blog, I end up going back, they cut it open and transfer me to Petoskey. Where I have surgery, several stitch, IV antibiotics, and a four day stay.
A wife who brings me care packages and truly cares beyond words
A mom to check on me daily
A sister who sends videos of my nephews to cheer me up
My dad who does love me, he just shows it differently
That wife I always talk about ❤️
10. Pain, reminds me how much I have that isn’t painful and is good in and around me
Moral of my story? Listen to your body, those who love you, and don’t be stubborn when it comes to your health! And if no one has told you they love you today, I love you.
