Sometimes you don’t feel the weight of something, until you finally release it.
It’s almost like letting go of a balloon and watching it rise, and rise, and rise; until it disappears into the clouds. Sometimes, other times it’s like that little kid that had their mommy or daddy tie it around their wrist. So no matter how far you run, how long you close your eyes, or even try to hide behind the door with it silently there on the other side. It will be right there, waiting for you, taunting you; and the harder you try to fight, flight, or freeze. The more that damn balloon lingers and the string seems to tighten, as if it will never let you go.
1.) Patience (boy do I need to work on this)
2.) Self care (wonderful again, however I need to be more consistent)
3.) Freedom of all realms
4.) Fear; to an extent
5.) Knowledge, it certainly is power
6.) Letting go, I’m working on it
7.) Unconditional love
8.) Elise Corinne, my darling daughter
9.) Jamie, my beautiful wife, who by the way. A HUGE shoutout and congratulations to this magnificent being. She graduated with her masters TODAY! I seriously couldn’t be more proud of you baby.
Sometimes it’s not what you do, it’s how you do it. And it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it. I know I need to work on a lot, not focus so intensely on my past and what I don’t have but to better love and understand myself so I can better love and understand those present in my life today. And, if no one has told you that they love you today, I love you!
