“When life gives you lemons, squeeze it into your cuts and then top it off with a dash of salt.” Wrong answer, the old saying, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” So easily I focus on the shower of lemons verses the lemonade, lemon meringue pie, lemon chiffon cheesecake, lemon peppered chicken...you get the gist. Human nature focuses on the negativity that surrounds us, and our thoughts? That follows suit. Add a little trauma paired with years of self medicating and you’ve got yourself a disastrous recipe for, well, disaster. So like I started this blog out the cuts, the salt; I was speaking of the self destruction, negative thinking, self doubt, and horrid negative self talk we all do far too much. I know I’m guilty of this and need to work on it more.
